Employability (Internal Audience)
Gulftainer has already invested in a number of training programs to keep the employees up to date for business operations and provide the best products/services to customers. Recent IT improvements were selected to offer solutions that enforce accountability in quality and enable tracking of weak links. Once the weak links are identified, they can be trained for improvements. A framework of measure - identify - rectify results in continuous improvement of employability internally.
Promotion from within: Gulftainer has a history of developing and promoting management from within. We have success stories featuring growth track of Group Director of Operations from Operations Supervisor over a period of 20 years.
Employability (External Audience)
A. Internship Programs: Gulftainer has been providing opportunities to increase the employability of external audiences/resources through various channels. We intend to continue to improve and build on these programs further. One of the main programs in this category is providing internship opportunities for young and upcoming talent to observe and learn corporate processes. We try to instill a sense of entrepreneur spirit in the participants. From the track records, it is obvious that our interns go on to flourish in their industry. This becomes a complementary strategy, where Gulftainer trades its expertise for an interns’ completely fresh and independent perspective.
B. Mentorship Programs: We are discussing the options for a future mentorship program, where established thought leaders from Gulftainer will provide mentoring opportunities to executives from other industries and promote the concept of healthy management to the outside world.
C. MBA program, Judge Business School, Cambridge University: Every year for past 6 years we invite a group of students to partner their knowledge with our expertise to bring out a case study on a selected area of concentration. This program as proved to be a valuable exercise for the attending students, and for Gulftainer to draw the knowledge to begin to develop internal and external mentoring programs.
