Gulftainer offers further help for Haiti
Gulftainer and Momentum Logistics team up with Sharjah English School to raise funds for Haiti
Leading international port management firm, Gulftainer, and its logistics subsidiary, Momentum Logistics, teamed up with Sharjah English School recently for a 'Fun Run' to raise much needed funds to aid the people of Haiti after an earthquake left the country devastated earlier this year.
Students from Sharjah English School eagerly took up the challenge to raise as much money as possible as they sprinted, jogged, and ambled around the school's playing fields.
Fellow Sharjah organizations Gulftainer and Momentum were also happy to match their contributions to this very worthy cause.
Speaking of the initiative, Gulftainer Group Director and General Manager Peter Richards said, "Gulftainer is committed to working together with members of the community to improve the standard of living wherever we can. Usually, our focus is on the areas in which we operate, but when a tragedy on the scale of the earthquake in Haiti strikes, we feel it is necessary for everyone to do what they can to help in order to help the people affected."
Gulftainer also contributed a portion of the proceeds from its 4th annual 'Golftainer Sharjah Classic' golf day, held on Sunday 24 January 2009, to the Haiti relief fund efforts.
