FINALLY , A SAFE ACCOMMODATION IN IRAQ

In 2013, Gulftainer entered into a joint venture with Global Sourcing and Supply, an integrated facility management and contract supply operation, for the provision of warehousing, camp design, office management and facility management solutions in Umm Qasr, Iraq. The joint venture operates in the Umm Qasr Port, the only sea port in Iraq.

UQLC has direct access to the main road that connects all the provinces in Iraq, giving easy access for the release of goods and supplies through the custom release office in the UQLC. This also allows access to all facilities including in-house customs, life support systems and professional security.

UQLC’s warehouses, cold stores, open storage, workshops, offices and on-hand heavy mechanical handling equipment, allow residents a “one-stop shop” to live, attend their office, control their cargo and be in Umm Qasr Port within minutes, instead of having to travel long distances, such as the one-hour trip over from Basrah.

Following its considerable success in Africa, BMMI's subsidiary, Global Sourcing & Supply (GSS), introduced its first project in the south of Iraq, Oasis Residence.

With 126 rooms available and with plans to increase this number to 180 in the near future, GSS offers high quality accommodation, restaurant facilities and recreational areas to over 200 people a day.

Its dining facility offers the best of Eastern and Western dishes, for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Catering is also available for special events.

By providing gym facilities, as well as housekeeping and laundry services, GSS provides the means for its clients’ wellbeing and comfort, while ensuring the meticulous cleanliness of its camps. 24-hour Internet access is also provided to ensure that clients stay connected and informed at all times.

Additionally, a business training centre offers the ideal space to meet or conduct training sessions or workshops.

Clients can also rest assured that safety is a top priority at Oasis Residence. A dedicated security team patrols the premises 24 hours a day, with CCTV covering all areas of the residence. Security is in compliance with international oil and gas company standards, and with years of experience, GSS is passionately committed to ensuring its guests’ safety.
